The CEO of McDan Group of Companies, Dr. Daniel McKorley, has revealed plans to buy Premier League club Nottingham Forest.

The Ghanaian businessman expressed his longstanding support for the English club and his desire to become its owner. Known for his passion for football, McKorley is a devoted follower of Ghana Premier League side Accra Great Olympics.
During the Joy Thought Leadership seminar at Labadi Beach Hotel on Monday, he announced his intention to purchase Nottingham Forest. He mentioned that, apart from Great Olympics, Nottingham Forest is the only team he supports worldwide.
He emphasized his loyalty to Nottingham Forest, even during their time in the third division. McKorley explained that he wants to buy the team, especially considering the ongoing developments.
It's worth mentioning that last year, politician Bernard Antwi Boasiako, also known as Chairman Wontumi, expressed his interest in purchasing Chelsea. Following Roman Abramovich's announcement to sell the club amidst the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Chelsea was eventually purchased by Todd Boehly and his consortium. Chairman Wontumi claimed he could have afforded the club with the wealth he accumulates from his mining business.
McKorley also stated that, if successful in his takeover, he would ensure more Ghanaian players have the opportunity to play for Nottingham Forest. His vision is to have approximately 60% of the team's players from the English league originating from Ghana.
